Marco has supplied its Elite 3 trunking to contractor Concab as part of a new build education project focusing on the digital sector.

Digitech Studio School in Bristol has now relocated into its new facility which caters for up to 360 students aged 14-19, marking a first in the south west to specialise in creative, digital and high-tech industries.

Main contractor ISG will manage the project that includes the construction of a new two-storey steel frame school building with a metal clad exterior. The building will provide a range of modern classroom and design spaces, along with a sports/dining hall and kitchen.

Electrical contractor, Concab, has opted for Marco’s Elite 3 trunking which has been installed throughout as part of the ultra-modern school design.

Steve Davis, National Business Development Manager at Marco Cable Management commented: “Once again we are seeing our Elite 3 installed at an education project. At Digitech, M&E consultants opted for the Elite with a grey lid to ensure they achieved DDA compliance integrated into the product. Coupled with this are the benefits in terms of look and appeal, containment capability and durability.”

The school will offer mainstream qualifications such as GCSE’s and A-levels as well as professional and vocational qualifications, delivered through a combination of project-based learning and work placements.

The small size of the school and an emphasis on developing individual students through one-to-one coaching allows the delivery of a highly personalised experience. The aim of Digitech is to equip students with the knowledge and experience required to more easily transition into the workplace whilst also combatting the on-going skills gap facing many industries across the UK.
