Marco has supplied its specialist cable containment products at the new Zip-Clip factory, manufacturers of niche-market innovative suspension systems for the building industry.

The £2million new-build project in Newtown, Wales, will allow the firm to grow and expand with owners confirming that it’s set to create nearly 50 jobs over the next five years on the back of impressive export growth.

The new 17,500 sq. ft. manufacturing plant – which includes 2,500 sq.ft of offices - on a 1.75 acre site is owned by the Welsh Government and will be leased to the firm to support their ambitious future plans.

Richard Hewish, Area Sales Manager at Marco Cable Management, commented: “It's great to see our products specified at a new manufacturing plant but even more so when it’s a manufacturer whose products are often used alongside our own. A fellow manufacturer opting for Marco is a very welcome order for us, once again confirming the notion that our products really are the preferred specification of choice within the industry.”

Marco’s steel wire cable tray has been used in the celling to contain the power cables whilst Marco’s dado trunking has been utilised throughout the office and administration areas.

Zip-Clip was launched in 2004, employing just three people, and is now a global supplier, exporting to 22 countries. Forecast sales are set to double in volume and value by 2017, with jobs set to increase from 32 to over 50 in 2017 and up to 70 by 2020.
