    STEEL WIRE CABLE TRAY

As part of Bupa’s three-year plan to move its Salford Quays operation to a new base at The Regent, MediaCityUK, a full fit out has included the specification of Marco’s steel wire cable tray by contractor Genlec.

The health and social care company has signed a 15-year agreement with The Peel Land & Property Group to lease the 145,000 square foot facility, one of the biggest commercial property lettings in Manchester in the last five years.

Construction is well underway and once complete in 2018 the new building will see approximately 2,000 Bupa staff relocate from two neighbouring buildings.

The electrical installation is now complete and Marco’s specialist cable containment products have been used to house a complex cabling infrastructure throughout. Kate Knox, Key Accounts Manager at Marco commented: “This is a very modern structure that is incredibly energy efficient whilst designed to be able to meet the demands of the most technically demanding tenant.

“Our products have been installed throughout demonstrating the capability of Marco’s steel wire cable tray in providing a first-class cabling infrastructure solution that meets the needs of a modern day office environment.”

Bupa’s team worked closely with its employees and Peel on developing the design and layout of the new space. Part of Bupa’s drive for investing in The Regent is to support a building which is more environmentally sustainable through design, fit-out, location and approach to travel.
