The Plymouth’s new Intercity Place medical campus scheduled to open in 2023. Contractor Kier makes significant progress on ambitious project to convert 11-storey railway station office block into University of Plymouth Faculty of Health.

An 11 storey Health Care Campus comprising social learning space with cafe and biomechanics/neurophysiology space at ground floor, podiatry suite and physiotherapy lab at first floor, paramedicine science suite and offices at second floor. Intercity offers optometry practice labs and tutorial rooms at third floor, clinical trial labs and student research desk space at fourth floor, nurse training facilities and academic support at fifth floor.

In addition, the heath care campus consists of a hospital simulation space at sixth and seventh floors, office and meeting rooms at eighth and ninth floors and a garden room with viewing platform at tenth floor.

This project included major external refurbishments to include replacement cladding.
