A large comprehensive school rebuild based in Craigavon just outside Belfast. Lismore is the learning hub of more than 1100 pupils.

This innovative and exciting new build school caters for 1200 pupils within a diverse teaching curriculum and was designed to be delivered in 2 phases on the existing site whilst the original school remains fully operational.

The 15,800m2 design achieves high standards in educational, operational & sustainable performance whilst providing a full range of teaching accommodation suitable for a modern 1200 pupil co-ed school incorporating enhanced sports hall & Gym (700m2). Plan arrangements are flexible thus facilitating a range of events and exhibitions in support of the key school activities.

Space on site was a massive challenge so transporting and fitting 3 meter lengths around the site proved a challenge. Complicated cable runs where Unistrut tray was used was another issue but Core Electrical kept stock locally which enabled the contractor to make any alterations required in a matter of days.

The contractor kept adding to the original order due to changes in runs on site and Core were always able to supply through WS Mercer, Belfast. We are pleased with the finished product and received good feedback from the contractor on the quality of the Atkore products used and the ease of installation.”
